  • We are creating a Senior Project Officer Talent Pool with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI)
  • Various DPHI office locations considered including Parramatta
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

About the role

The Senior Project Officer is responsible for providing strategic advice and engagement insights on complex planning policy, programs and issues. The role manages projects and coordinates engagement activity across multiple teams, supporting the implementation of planning system reforms and the effective management of stakeholder issues.

You will build and maintain trusted, productive relationships with industry, councils, advocacy groups and other key stakeholders. Through clear communication and effective consultation, you will support inclusive engagement that balances diverse perspectives while aligning with departmental priorities.

You will bring strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear advice, high‑quality engagement materials and practical recommendations that support continuous improvement in consultation practice.
