THE ROLE
Join our busy Power Projects Team and lead the delivery of innovative HV Transmission projects across Queensland as a skilled Senior Project Manager or an ambitious Project Manager ready to take the next step. Based in our Milton office or North Ryde, you will use your expertise to guide dedicated teams in ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction of HV infrastructure projects that fulfil client requirements, meet KPIs, and achieve financial targets in line with Downer's delivery model framework.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will spend time in the office and on-site collaborating closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, technical staff, and support personnel to efficiently deliver projects.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
Manage projects per the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
ABOUT YOU
You are a results-driven project leader with a proven track record delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects You bring technical strength, commercial acumen, and the ability to unite cross-functional teams under a common goal.
A Trade or Engineering (Electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management.
Experience delivering transmission or electrical infrastructure projects.
High proficiency with computers and relevant software.
Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders upstream and downstream.
