
Shape the future of student success in this high-impact role as Senior Project Manager, Student Success and Widening Participation (through to the end of 2027), where you’ll lead a strategic review of flagship programs, including the Young Achievers Program (YAP) and outreach initiatives to strengthen UQ’s pipeline of students from equity backgrounds.
You’ll work collaboratively across UQ to design targeted, evidence-based interventions that improve access, conversion, and success outcomes, ensuring programs align with evolving government priorities and deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
Key responsibilities will include:
Demonstrated experience delivering impactful projects end-to-end, with measurable outcomes
Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and inform program design
Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills across diverse internal and external groups
Sound understanding of education pathways, equity initiatives, and widening participation strategies
This is a full-time fixed-term position until 31/12/2027 at HEW Level 8.
A postgraduate qualification and substantial experience in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Proven success delivering dynamic projects end-to-end, with the ability to plan, engage stakeholders, track progress, and achieve outcomes within scope, timeframes, and budget
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and produce high-quality reports, documentation, and digital content
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform evidence-based program design
A strong understanding of pedagogy, education pathways, and equity initiatives, with insight into the barriers and opportunities for underrepresented students (knowledge of higher education policy such as SEHEEF is desirable)
