SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) will be at the heart of Shell’s NextGen journey to serve Shell’s strategic requirements. Seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in data governance projects within a global organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects involving SAP MDG (Master Data Governance), with the ability to quickly mobilize teams, build stakeholder confidence, and demonstrate technical solutions effectively. You should be able to collaborate with middleware and connected applications team along with engaging stakeholders across Contracts & Procurement, Architecture, Support Operations, Risk Management.

What’s the role?

Lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of SAP programs and projects within the ERP Capability Center, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Shell’s net-zero ambition. Drive end-to-end project management across global business lines and geographies, delivering measurable value within agreed parameters of scope, cost, timeline, quality, risk, and benefits. Apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, leveraging SAP ERP expertise and cross-functional domain knowledge (e.g., Finance, HR, Retail, Chemicals, Legal, and Capital Projects) to enable effective transformation initiatives.

Champion strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and collaborative delivery while fostering a high-performance, value-driven culture. Demonstrate leadership by promoting safety, integrity, and continuous improvement; inspiring teams through coaching and feedback; building trust with internal and external partners; and cultivating a growth mindset to drive innovation and sustainable business outcomes.

We are looking for SAP Program and Project Management professionals with proficiency across the following:

• Program and project delivery skills in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Domain knowledge and skills, such as Chemicals, Deepwater, Retail, Finance, Legal, HR, and Capital Project lines of business and functions.
• Have experience in delivering IT projects in the ERP area with SAP as a key technology.
• Professional skills, such as leadership, communication and resilience.
• Entrepreneurial skills, such as a business-value mindset, critical thinking, storytelling, stakeholder management, and enabling value creation.

What we need from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 18+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years leading progressively complex projects focused on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
• Proven experience delivering IT initiatives such as SAP rollouts (global or regional), system upgrades, migrations, and projects related to acquisitions or divestments
• Strong expertise in SAP MDG and integration with connected applications using interface technologies such as BizTalk, MuleSoft, CPI, SSIS, Apigee, and SML
• Broad understanding of SAP S/4HANA and MDG modules, including Material, Business Partner, and Finance (FSI, CU), as well as Enterprise Asset Management and HRMM
• Experience in building custom data models and integrating SAP with other ERP systems
• Knowledge of SAP BI/BW and ABAP; prior industry experience in Oil & Gas is preferred
• Demonstrated success leading MDG programs and projects (including SAP S/4 upgrades) with strong planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality outcomes
• Proven experience in optimizing workflow processes and managing Finance master data within MDG environments
• Relevant project management certifications, preferably PMP® and Agile certifications.
