To support our Project and Program Management Business, we are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join our team on a variety of data centre and infrastructure projects that are local, national and international.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing data centre and mission critical projects for government and non-government clients and a variety of contract forms. Possessing a wide range of experience across the project lifecycle, we are looking for someone with a genuine desire to develop and be part of our plans to grow our project management capability locally.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage Arcadis and Joint Venture teams in the delivery of projects to meet client requirements for cost, time and quality;
  • Manage project resourcing, sub-consultants, program, contracts and scope change to achieve positive project outcomes;
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters;
  • Implement and manage financial and project controls to enable effective monitoring and forecasting of project finances;
  • Drive project performance, service delivery, technical coordination and commercial outcomes;
  • Support the development of new business pursuits and bids. Lead the compilation of tender documents for clients and critically review tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting;
  • Provide sound and effective leadership to the team, provide direction and advice, lead by example to achieve company goals and champion a quality culture;
  • Maintain an overview of the commercial aspects of the team’s portfolio of projects and drive project performance, service delivery and commercial outcomes. Ensure that effective financial and project management controls are in place and deployed to enable monitoring, modification and forecasting as appropriate;
  • Undertake project reviews and ensure that client delivery is above expectation. Work to ensure maximum client satisfaction, champion client care and proactively work with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes;
  • Ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on projects;
  • Mentor, grow and develop the team to ensure that team members reach their full potential.

Qualification & Experience:

We are seeking somebody with a strong fit to our to build and drive our culture of inclusion, accountability, human centricity and sustainability. You will possess strong learning agility, combined with a balanced mix of being curious, driving success and igniting passion.

You are a seasoned project management professional thriving in a high pressured, fast paced environment with strong industry ties and have demonstrated credibility in a consulting environment.

Your career to date will include:

  • Experience in delivery of data centres, mission critical or similar complex projects.
  • Experience of managing projects in a consultancy environment for both government and contractor clients, with a broad exposure to different forms of contract.
  • A sound commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures and a demonstratable ability to take commercial responsibility for projects.
  • Minimum 5 years'+ experience in project/construction management for highly technical, construction projects - experienced in controlling major scale projects of $100m+
  • Strong experience in project control, governance and delivery frameworks
  • Site based project experience essential - ideally in data centre construction projects, or similarly complex, high value builds
  • High level communication skill with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence at all levels
  • Hold a recognised degree or equivalent qualification relating to a technical field: Project Management, construction management or Architecture.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor and develop a team
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client’s needs
  • Established relationships with existing clients in the data centre sector in New South Wales or Victoria.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia.
