Senior Project Manager / P3M Expert

Location: Belgium (Hybrid)
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Approximately 8 months
Workload: 50% (approximately 800 hours)
Language: Dutch (CEFR C2) required

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / P3M Expert to support the further development and professionalization of a Project Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will help strengthen project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M) practices, improve governance, optimize processes and tooling, and drive organizational adoption of standardized project management methodologies.

This role combines strategic PMO development with hands-on project leadership, focusing on portfolio management, governance, reporting, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Support the evolution and continuous improvement of the PMO and P3M framework.
• 
  Lead and guide strategic projects and PMO initiatives.
• 
  Develop and improve project, programme, and portfolio management processes.
• 
  Strengthen governance structures, decision-making processes, and reporting.
• 
  Support portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting, and strategic alignment.
• 
  Improve project data quality and management reporting.
• 
  Optimize project management tooling, documentation, and templates.
• 
  Coach project managers and business teams in applying PM methodologies.
• 
  Support programme governance, benefits realization, dependency management, and risk management.
• 
  Drive organizational change and encourage adoption of best practices.
• 
  Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to improve project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing projects.
• 
  Minimum 5 years of experience working in project-oriented environments and multidisciplinary teams.
• 
  Minimum 3 years of hands-on SharePoint experience.
• 
  Strong knowledge of Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management (P3M).
• 
  Experience with PM methodologies, terminology, governance, roles, and project processes.
• 
  Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• 
  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• 
  Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 
  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 
  Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2).

Preferred Experience

• 
  Experience with Agile project delivery.
• 
  Knowledge of PMI methodologies and best practices.
