Job Description

Hybrid Schedule: On-site 20% and Remote 80% | Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM | Labor Day Required

Must reside within a 90-minute driving distance of the work location.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing workflow for Marketing and Communications project portfolios. They will plan and designate project resources, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed during the process of all projects for assigned Relationship or Marketing Managers.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Responsible for managing a team of Traffic Managers who are responsible for an assigned portfolio of clients.

  2. Work with Relationship or Marketing Managers to create cross-functional project timelines and resource plans. Then assign project and communicate details to a Traffic Manager for daily management of project.

  3. Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of information between project stakeholders in order to ensure project objectives are advancing successfully; manages progress and accountability of assigned Marcom team members.

  4. Work closely with the Account Director to achieve project goals while controlling resources, risks, cross-project dependencies, conflicts, deployment dates and reporting/data pulling for assigned area(s).

  5. Utilize departmental processes and objectives to develop and monitor data-driven reports in Work Front.

  6. Lead weekly status meetings with assigned Relationship or Marketing Managers including a calendar review and updates on deliverables for current projects and campaigns.

  7. Anticipate capacity challenges, escalate concerns to management, negotiate tradeoffs to ensure project completion and balance project requests versus capacity constraints.

  8. Collaborate with area leads to assign correct resources to projects.

  9. Other work duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with project management in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficient in handling issues around team supervision, resource management, technology and workflow processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with internal team members and internal clients
  • Two (2) years experience working with project and content management tools for cross functional project management and report development, preferably in WorkFront
  • Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology
  • One (1) year experience managing direct reports
  • Five (5) years project management experience in an advertising/marketing agency or on in-house marketing team
