OPEN JOB: Senior Project Manager, Industrial Manufacturing Construction Projects

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas

BASE SALARY: $149,863 to $187,329

DETAILS:

The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability for project outcomes on complex and/or multiple construction projects, directly managing operations, profitability, and administration.

Core Responsibilities

Operations & Safety

• Safety Culture: Leads and mentors teams toward an injury-free environment while managing incidents and retraining staff.
• Project Scheduling: Partners with superintendents to build, update, and resource project schedules using Lean principles.
• Preconstruction & Buyout: Oversees estimating, quantity takeoffs, trade coordination, GMP development, and subcontractor buyout.
• Submittal Management: Reviews and approves shop drawings and coordinates material priorities with logistics.
• Project Closeout: Drives the closeout process including punch lists, warranties, and financial reconciliation.

Financial & Risk Management

• Budget Oversight: Leads monthly cost forecasting, budget development, and expense report approvals.
• Pay Applications: Completes monthly subcontractor and owner pay application processes.
• Risk Mitigation: Analyzes subcontractor risks, coordinates bonding, and collaborates with legal counsel.
• Negotiation: Handles project changes, change orders, contingency expenditures, and fee enhancements.

Leadership & Relationships

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinates owners, architects, design teams, and internal resources (IPS, self-perform).
• Community Engagement: Builds industry relationships and assists marketing with presentations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• End-to-end expertise in construction means, methods, and management processes.
• Intermediate proficiency in CMiC, scheduling software, construction technology, and BIM.
• Practical application of Lean processes and philosophy.
• Advanced capability in range estimating, budgeting, and team development.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of construction management experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
