Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee the refurbishment of a hospitality project, including fit-out works of specific spaces of an iconic landmark in Madrid, aiming to implement a VIP program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the refurbishment project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong background in construction and project management within the luxury hospitality industry or similar.

  • Oversee the entire refurbishment / fit-out project, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues that may arise during the refurbishment process.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, including hospitality owners, management, and operational teams, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with operational teams and the owner during handover phase, to guarantee a proper transition from construction to operations phase.
  • Mitigate risks and address potential project delays proactively.
  • Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Technical Architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in hotel refurbishment/fit-out or singular/high-end projects
  • Proven experience managing renovation projects within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
