Job Description

Job Description Summary

The energy grid is changing fast — and the work you lead here will help shape what it becomes. As Senior Project Manager for Grid Automation, you will own the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value projects, including Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) projects, from contract handover through to final acceptance. You will also support and coach a team of Project Managers, helping them deliver profitably and to the highest standards.

This is a role where your ability to bring people together, hold complexity steady, and drive outcomes across multiple workstreams will directly contribute to the clean energy transition.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Lead full project delivery across Grid Automation projects, including Offshore Wind Farm scope. Managing schedule, cost, risk, and customer relationships from transfer to Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) or Taking Over Certificate (TOC)
  • Own financial performance for your project portfolio, including gross margin accountability, monthly sales forecasting, cost recovery planning, and regular reporting to senior management
  • Manage customer and stakeholder relationships at senior levels, representing Grid Automation externally and internally, ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
  • Drive contract and supplier management, including claims and variation orders, coordinating with procurement, manufacturing units, and the contract management team
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risk, conducting risk sessions, developing action plans, and proactively surfacing commercial opportunities across the project lifecycle
  • Coach and support Grid Automation Project Managers on Offshore Wind Farm project delivery, sharing lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement of project management processes
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the OWF segment, consolidating execution summaries and presenting project status to leadership

Who You Are

You are a seasoned project leader who thrives when the stakes are high and the teams are large. You are equally comfortable driving delivery and developing the people around you, and you understand that both matter.

Required

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. A formal qualification in this area is required given the technical complexity of Grid Automation and Offshore Wind Farm projects
  • Significant experience in project management within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry
  • Proven background in T&D and Grid Automation, including Protection & Controls
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-workstream projects running in parallel
  • Strong experience leading and motivating cross-functional project teams
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–20% as project and business needs require

Preferred

  • Experience working in multicultural or internationally distributed project environments
  • Background in Offshore Wind Farm project delivery
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of execution-focused leadership
