From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

As a Sr Project Manager within Global Channel Development Business Operations Solutions, you will lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen how GCD operates across partnerships, markets and functions. You will translate business needs into scalable processes, tools and ways of working, leading initiatives from discovery and design through implementation and adoption.

The role supports a Business Operations Solutions team focused on scalable operating capabilities across innovation and marketing operations, partnership management, strategic initiatives and operational planning.

As a sr project manager, you will…

  • Lead Complex Initiatives: Own highly complex, cross-functional projects from discovery through implementation and adoption, ensuring clear scope, governance, milestones and outcomes.
  • Design Scalable Solutions: Translate business needs into scalable processes, tools and ways of working that improve speed, consistency and operational effectiveness across GCD.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner across functions including Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology and global markets to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders and move decisions forward.
  • Manage Risk & Delivery: Proactively manage dependencies, risks and trade-offs, adapting plans as priorities shift while maintaining momentum and accountability.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data, feedback and operational insights to simplify processes, improve adoption and identify opportunities to scale successful solutions.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 7+ years of project management experience, including scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, resources and communications
  • 5+ years managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong project-management skills across planning, governance, risk and dependency management, stakeholder alignment and change implementation.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear requirements, recommendations and executable plans.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect work to broader organizational priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to create clarity, navigate different perspectives and move stakeholders toward decisions.
  • Experience developing scalable processes, tools or ways of working and driving adoption through change.
  • Four-year degree preferred; PMP considered.
