Senior Project Manager - Engineering

Do you want to drive complex investment projects and play a key role in translating strategy into tangible results across multiple production sites?

At Danish Crown, we are entering an exciting future driven by an increased focus on automation, innovation, a safe working environment, and sustainability in everything we do. You will join Foods Engineering and work closely with our factories to ensure stable, efficient, and future-proof production solutions.

As Senior Project Manager, you will act as the link between strategy and execution, ensuring that investment priorities are translated into high-impact projects across your assigned factories. You will take on a central role in driving both individual CapEx projects and the overall portfolio across typically 2–3 sites.

A key role in bridging strategy and execution

In this role, you will work closely with local factory management, technical departments, your colleagues in Foods Engineering, and senior stakeholders. You will ensure that projects are prioritised, planned, and executed effectively – always aligned with business needs and the overall CapEx framework.

You will drive transparency, prioritisation, and strong execution across your assigned factories, ensuring that investments deliver real operational and financial value.

  • Ensure alignment between project pipeline, capacity, and business needs

Financial & Risk Management

  • Ensure strong financial management, including budget, cash flow, and carry-over
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks across projects and the broader portfolio

Stakeholder & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted sparring partner to factory management and key stakeholders
  • Ensure effective supplier and contract management
  • Support decision-making through clear and structured reporting of progress, risks, and financials

Capability Building

  • Contribute to the development of Project Managers and best practices within Engineering

Your profile

  • Solid experience in project management, preferably within industry or food production
  • Experience with large and complex investment (CapEx) projects
  • Technical background as an engineer, marine engineer, or similar
  • Strong business and financial understanding, including budgeting and cash flow
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across different organisational levels
  • Structured, analytical, and execution-driven

To succeed in this role

You thrive in a role with responsibility and complexity and are motivated by delivering results through collaboration. You are able to both drive projects to completion and create clarity and direction in a complex environment. You communicate clearly and effectively and can create momentum across multiple stakeholders.

What we offer

  • A high-impact role with direct influence on investment decisions and production development across multiple sites
  • The opportunity to work with complex and strategically important projects

About Danish Crown

The Danish Crown Group is a global food processing company and among the largest in its field. The Group is the world’s largest pork exporter and Europe’s largest pork processor. Furthermore, Danish Crown Beef is a significant player in the European beef market.

Just like the crops in the fields continuously change, Danish Crown tirelessly refine and improve how we work, from farm to fork, to ensure good, safe food for people around the world to enjoy. Our history goes back to 1887 and the Danish cooperative movement, and responsibility towards society, our employees and our owners, the farmers, is quite simply in our genes.

As a global leader in meat production, we have big obligations; not just to deliver, but to explore new opportunities. We still have a long way to go and face many challenges. But we remain committed to improving how food is produced - with respect for animals, people and the environment. In this quest, we are prepared to challenge ourselves, the industry and the market.

This journey is not ours alone, but we promise to be the leaders of change.

You will become a part of a strong culture with roots in the Danish co-operative movement, and at all levels of the organization, you will be met by an informal and direct tone.
