Job Description

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead the business delivery of the Banca Commission Spreading Project, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into business processes, operating model changes, controls, communications, and implementation readiness.

The role will be responsible for project governance, stakeholder management, business planning, risk management, testing coordination, operational readiness, and business adoption. The Project Manager will work closely with the IT Project Manager, who will be responsible for system delivery, technology implementation, vendor management, and technical execution.

Position Responsibilities:

Project Leadership and Coordination

  • Lead the overall business workstream for the Banca Commission Spreading Project.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated project plan covering business, operational, regulatory, and change management activities.
  • Coordinate across workstreams to ensure alignment of business and technology deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and issues, and drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure project objectives, scope, assumptions, and decisions are clearly documented and managed.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary business coordination point among Bancassurance, Distribution Compensation, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Legal, and other business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate decision-making and consensus across stakeholders.
  • Ensure business requirements, impacts, and implementation plans are understood and agreed by all affected parties.
  • Coordinate communication with senior management and governance forums.

Regulatory and Business Implementation

  • Coordinate interpretation and implementation of commission spreading requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are appropriately reflected in business processes, controls, procedures, and operating models.
  • Drive business impact assessments across affected compensation schemes, reporting processes, and operational activities.
  • Ensure all business decisions and interpretations are properly documented and approved.

Governance and Reporting

  • Establish and manage project governance forums.
  • Prepare project status reports, steering committee materials, and management updates.
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
  • Escalate key issues, risks, and decisions requiring management intervention.

Business Readiness and Change Management

  • Develop and execute business readiness plans for impacted stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication, training, and operational preparation activities.
  • Ensure affected teams understand process changes and are prepared for implementation.
  • Track readiness milestones and resolve preparation gaps.

Risk and Control Management

  • Identify and manage business, regulatory, operational, and implementation risks.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, and Audit stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and governance processes are established and documented.
  • Track remediation actions through closure.

Coordination with IT Project Manager

  • Partner closely with the IT Project Manager to maintain an integrated business and technology delivery plan.
  • Ensure business decisions, requirements, priorities, and timelines are communicated to the technology team in a timely manner.
  • Monitor cross-functional dependencies between business and technology workstreams.
  • Support issue resolution where business and technology decisions are interdependent.
  • Work jointly with the IT Project Manager to manage overall project delivery, risks, milestones, and implementation readiness.

Success Measures

  • Regulatory requirements successfully implemented within agreed timelines.
  • Business readiness achieved prior to implementation.
  • All key business stakeholders aligned on project decisions and implementation approach.
  • UAT and business validation completed successfully.
  • Risks and issues proactively managed and resolved.
  • Effective coordination between business and technology workstreams.
  • Successful implementation with minimal operational disruption.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience within insurance, financial services, or wealth management environments.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects involving business, operations, technology, compliance, and finance stakeholders.
  • Experience working with external vendors and consulting partners.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in distribution compensation, commissions, incentives, or remuneration programs.
  • Experience in bancassurance operations.
  • Experience implementing regulatory or compliance-driven initiatives.
  • Familiarity with insurance policy administration and commission processing systems.
  • Experience with data migration, system implementation, or compensation transformation projects.
