Iron Mountain is seeking an strategic Senior Project Manager (Construction) to join our Data Center Development team.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead the tactical execution of a multi-facility data center development program in Johor, including a critical high-voltage utility substation. Servicing as the primary on-site delivery lead, your expertise will help drive progress, navigate local regulatory landscapes, and directly shape our expanding digital infrastructure footprint in Southeast Asia. Building on our foundation of operational excellence, you will ensure landmark builds cross the finish line safely, on schedule, and within budget.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead On-Site Execution: Serve as the primary delivery lead for a large-scale data center program and dedicated utility substation, coordinating matrixed PM, design, and controls teams.
  • Manage GC & Vendor Performance: Direct and monitor a major General Contractor under a D&B Turnkey framework, tracking daily/weekly KPIs and enforcing safety and quality standards.
  • Drive Utility & Power Coordination: Oversee day-to-day engagement with regional power authorities, specifically tracking connections with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to maintain schedule alignment.
  • Control Budgets & Governance: Manage project financials, oversee change orders, and ensure commercial adherence to internal governance and Delegation of Authority frameworks.
  • Direct Local Regulatory Engagement: Liaise with Johor municipal councils and agencies (e.g., MIDA) to clear permitting, facilitate inspections, and secure final handovers.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of project management experience in large-scale construction, with a proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects (data center MEP/CSA experience highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian or Singaporean construction ecosystems, local supply chains, contractor markets, and labor dynamics.
  • Technical mastery in project controls (CPM, earned value, cost tracking) and complex MEP/CSA systems.
  • Practical experience coordinating utility grid connections or substation builds, ideally with direct TNB process familiarity.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (PMP or BEM certifications preferred).
  • Full professional proficiency in English; fluency in regional languages is an advantage for engaging local authorities.
