KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end delivery of the Philippines Core Banking Transformation program, overseeing multiple phases and workstreams across Trade Finance, Lending, CASA, and Payments.
- Lead distributed project teams comprising domain leads, PMO, solution and security architects, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business analysts (BAs).
- Coordinate delivery across the Philippines, India, and Singapore, managing resource allocation, time-zone differences, cross-location handoffs, and collaboration.
- Manage multiple vendors and product partners across core banking, payments, and trade platforms, aligning their deliverables, timelines, and commitments under a unified delivery plan.
- Oversee on-the-ground project coordination and maintain effective working relationships with client teams and delivery partners.
- Serve as the primary project delivery contact and collaborate closely with client executives and other senior stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain project governance, including weekly progress reviews, phase-gate assessments, outcome tracking, and escalation procedures.
- Present project progress, risks, issues, and key decisions to executive stakeholders through clear, concise, and business-focused reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, including regulatory considerations relevant to banking operations in the Philippines.
- Develop and manage the end-to-end delivery roadmap, including detailed week-by-week execution plans and milestones across all project phases.
- Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, effort estimates, and schedules against the person-month plan, proactively addressing variances.
- Manage scope definition and change control across functional and integration solution designs (FSD/ISD), fit-gap analysis, and implementation roadmaps.
- Oversee the transition from pre-study and estimation through approval, implementation, and delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10–15 years of overall project or program management experience, including end-to-end delivery ownership of at least one large-scale core banking implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle, from pre-study and estimation/approval through implementation, within banking or financial services.
- Working knowledge of Trade Finance, Lending, Current Account and Savings Account (CASA), and Payments, with the ability to engage credibly with SMEs and assess delivery estimates.
- Proven experience managing multivendor engagements and distributed, multinational delivery teams using onshore/offshore operating models.
- Strong expertise in project financial management, resource planning, effort estimation, and tracking delivery against person-month commitments.
- Experience with core banking and related platforms such as Flexcube, ACBS, Trade 360, Murex, or Finastra GPP, through direct implementation or close delivery oversight.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, governance, and escalation management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification.
- Prior experience delivering banking transformation programs within the Philippines banking sector.
- MBA or an equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Experience coordinating complex implementations involving multiple banking products, vendors, and regional delivery teams.
