About the job | Senior Project Manager – Business Finance Controlling & Cost Management

As Senior Project Manager within Tryg’s Strategy Execution team under the CFO office, you will champion the standardization and operational excellence of cost management processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the optimization and standardization of cost management activities, including controlling, accruals, periodization, and related financial operational controls.
• Driving process excellence initiatives grounded in Lean methodologies to optimize and automate workflows, enhance financial governance, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• Partnering closely with Operational Financial Controlling, Finance, Accounting, Business Units, and IT to design and embed best-in-class financial processes.
• Overseeing robust project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver transformation projects on time and with excellence.
• Facilitating change management, training, and adoption efforts to embed new ways of working, tools, and control frameworks across Tryg’s Nordic finance organization.
• Mentoring and advising teams within the Strategy Execution portfolio to foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and precision in financial controlling.

Location: Copenhagen, with ongoing collaboration across Nordic offices and occasional travel.

About you | Experienced Senior Project Manager passionate about Lean-driven Process Excellence & Operational Financial Controlling

You bring 5+ years of experience driving finance transformations with a strong focus on Lean-based process excellence and operational financial controlling. You understand the critical importance of accurate, timely cost management and thrive in implementing standardized controls and workflows in complex environments.

Ideal qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager with 5+ years delivering finance programs focused on process excellence, cost controlling, accruals, periodization, and operational financial controlling activities.
• Formal training or certification in Lean methodologies or equivalent continuous improvement frameworks.
• Expertise in standardizing finance operating models, with hands-on experience bringing automation and governance improvements.
• Strong collaborator and influencer with proven ability to engage senior leaders and operational teams to drive change across multiple functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in one Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian).
• Academic background in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields, blending analytical capability with operational acumen.
• A structured, meticulous, and proactive leader driven by achieving sustainable finance operational excellence.
