Senior Project Manager – Technology Contracts & Commercial Negotiations (12 Month FTC)

The Role

As our Senior Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on a significant program of work focused on complex, high-value technology contracts, negotiations and renewals.

This is not a traditional project management role. Alongside driving end-to-end delivery, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing negotiation strategies for critical technology arrangements, bringing together stakeholders from across Technology, Product, Legal, Risk, Finance and senior leadership.

You’ll work through complex commercial, technology and risk considerations, frame options and trade-offs for executives, and help drive timely decisions and strong outcomes for AP+.

More broadly, you’ll own project planning and execution, managing timelines, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and change to ensure successful delivery.

This Role Is Responsible For:

• Leading complex, high-value technology contract negotiations and renewals, from negotiation strategy through to execution.
• Developing clear negotiation strategies, objectives and commercial positions in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Coordinating complex cross-functional negotiations across Technology, Product, Legal, Risk, Finance and senior executives.
• Working through contractual considerations relating to operational resilience, cybersecurity, cloud services, data protection, incident management, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Framing complex issues into clear options, trade-offs and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
• Developing and managing project plans, timelines, budgets and resource requirements.
• Proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Maintaining strong governance, reporting and documentation throughout delivery.
• Building trusted relationships across AP+ and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensuring project deliverables meet agreed objectives, quality standards and business requirements.

In Order To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need To Demonstrate:

• Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-value technology contract negotiations and renewals, including developing and executing negotiation strategies.
• Strong understanding of technology contracts, particularly provisions relating to operational resilience, cybersecurity, cloud services, data protection, incident management, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional negotiations across Technology, Product, Legal, Risk, Finance and senior executives.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand competing priorities and translate complexity into practical recommendations.
• Excellent executive stakeholder management, with the ability to clearly frame options and trade-offs and drive timely decisions.
• Significant experience delivering complex projects, with strong capability across planning, governance, budgets, resources, risk and stakeholder management. The existing position specification calls for 5+ years' Senior Project Manager experience.
• Strong influencing and relationship-management skills, including the ability to facilitate decision-making and communicate effectively across technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience within payments, financial services, technology or another complex regulated environment will be highly regarded.
