The Opportunity

We're seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of some of Kapitol's most significant and complex projects.

Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, you'll take ownership of large-scale, high-profile and mission-critical projects from pre-construction through to completion. Depending on project requirements, you may lead a flagship project or oversee multiple projects simultaneously across:

• Data Centres
• Commercial
• High-End Residential
• Education

You'll be responsible for driving programme, budget, quality and safety outcomes while building trusted relationships and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

This role is suited to an accomplished construction leader who thrives on taking ownership of multiple complex projects, managing sophisticated stakeholder environments and delivering exceptional commercial and operational outcomes. You'll be empowered to operate with a high degree of autonomy while helping shape the future direction and success of project delivery at Kapitol.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the successful delivery of large-scale, complex and high-profile construction projects.
• Assume full accountability for project performance across programme, budget, quality, safety and client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Drive project strategy and decision-making throughout all phases of delivery.
• Lead high-performing project teams to consistently achieve exceptional project outcomes.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and commercial outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement and overall financial performance.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and best-practice project delivery.
• Support the development of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers through leadership, guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee project completion, handover and defect resolution.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record delivering large-scale or complex construction projects for a Tier 1, Tier 2 or established commercial builder.

You may have built your career across data centres, commercial, education, residential or other complex construction projects. You'll be recognised for your ability to lead high-performing teams, navigate complex stakeholder environments and consistently deliver strong project outcomes.

Whether you've managed a major flagship project or multiple concurrent projects, you'll bring the experience, judgement and leadership required to perform at the highest level.

You'll Bring:

• Proven experience successfully delivering multiple construction projects end-to-end, including large-scale, complex or high-risk developments.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects with significant commercial, programme and stakeholder complexity.
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of achieving successful financial outcomes.
• Exceptional client and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted long-term relationships.
• The ability to lead large multidisciplinary project teams and consistently drive high performance.
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, procurement and contract administration.
• Sound judgement, strong decision-making capability and the ability to perform in high-pressure environments.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project leadership.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
