We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major site project: our new warehouse.
The role
As Senior Project Manager, you will ensure robust, compliant, and reliable technical operations supporting our global public health mission. You will lead the end-to-end execution of CAPEX projects for GMP facilities at our Kvistgaard site, from approval through commissioning, handover, and close-out. You ensure delivery against scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements while driving strong governance, financial oversight, and operational readiness. Acting as a key integrator across functions, you build alignment among stakeholders, manage risks, and secure compliant, high-quality project outcomes. The role requires a hands-on, independent approach with the ability to lead both large and smaller initiatives across sites—primarily in Denmark, with occasional global involvement.
Lead full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, schedule, and quality
Own project budgets (up to €50M), including cost control, forecasting, and financial governance
Drive execution excellence through structured planning, proactive decision-making, and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and “Safety/Quality by Design” principles
Manage contractors, vendors, and partners to deliver according to agreed performance and standards
Build strong cross-functional alignment and ensure effective communication, governance, and handover to operations
What you bring
You have a professional demeanor and approach individuals with openness, honesty, and respect. When you handle inquiries, you provide appropriate feedback even when tasks are not prioritized or yield the desired outcome. Being able to communicate in Danish – both written and verbally, besides having full proficiency in English, is mandatory. Besides this, you bring
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or similar)
8–12+ years of experience in CAPEX project execution
Proven track record delivering projects in the range of €10–50M
Experience within industrial, pharma, biotech, or process environments
Exposure to brownfield and/or greenfield project environments
You exhibit ownership, accountability for performance, and business understanding, make decisions aligned with the overall business agenda and at the same time serve as a role model, adhering to Bavarian Nordic values.
