What we are looking for (Objective) –

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Project and Development Services team in Shanghai. This role will.


What this job involves (Key Accountabilities)

  • Take total responsibility for the overall success of major projects—guiding teams in each phase to achieve outcomes that exceed clients’ expectations and meet JLL’s commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, leading from the front while also taking the time to understand their point of view.
  • Always considers what’s best for our clients. Maintain a strong and positive relationship with our clients by identifying their needs, requirements and constraints.
  • Create estimated budget & detail schedule as per Client’s various requirement.
  • Assist Client to organize & analyse all tender and procurement of all contractors & suppliers.
  • Pay close attention to each business opportunities. Survey Client basic needs, complete commercial assessments and prepare PM proposals to Client
  • Handle contract administration of all vendors professionally according to legal requirements. Always protObjective。
  • To accept responsibility for the effective management and successful execution of all phases of a project or projects from initial establishment of requirements and feasibility studies to final handover to the Client. The role provides coordinating thought and leadership to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the project and focuses these to produce a maximum value result.
  • Establish and effectively lead the project team to achieve the best possible performance from all members.
  • Within each project, establish an effective organisation structure for reporting and responsibility, and to establish working procedures.
  • Track and report on the actual progress & actual spending, compared to programs and budgets, and advice corrective action to Client.
  • Monitor and report on the Company resources engaged in the projects, and to allocate these resources to complete the project within the Company budget.
  • Identify & record the needs requirements and constraints of the Client. Work out effective project plan, to achieve these goals.
  • Create estimated budget & detail schedule as per Client’s various requirement.
  • Assist Client to organize & analyse all tender and procurement of all contractors & suppliers.
  • Represent the Client from inception to completion of the project.
  • Manage the pre-design, design, construction and completion stages of the project.
  • Track and report on the actual progress & actual spending, compared to programs and budgets, and advice corrective action to Client
  • Represent and promote the company throughout the project.
  • Achieve company profit targets set for the project.
  • Market the company in its pursuit of project opportunities.
  • See individual Performance Measurement Targets


Sound like you? To apply you need have (Qualifications)

Education /Work Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or above major in Civil / Electrical / HVAC Engineering, Construction/Project Management.
  • At least 8-10 years of project experience in delivering large-scale retail and office interior fit-out projects for multi-national Clients.
  • A strong background of all aspects of Interior Fit-out Management including management on schedule, quality, cost, and risk management, negotiation, etc.

Business Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in English, in both oral and writing communications.
  • Be proficient in MS Office software, Auto CAD and MS Project to complete analysis & reports. Well-practiced in Power Point for presentations.
  • Skilful in commercial negotiations with client, contractors, consultants and authorities. Be good at building team relationships and interacting effectively with stakeholders in and out of the organisation.
  • Familiar with China construction market, regulations and general practices. Understand the legal environment for each project and be able to direct project avoiding any legal risks.
  • Demonstrate market analysis ability to identify right opportunities.
  • To be able to conduct feasibility study.

  • Provide leadership to Team.
  • Ensure effective delegation of responsibility and authority.
  • Create an environment where all Team members are encouraged to contribute.
  • Manage company staff to achieve enthusiastic and effective contribution to the project.
