Consumer IT is part of Singtel Singapore IT that plays a key interface role between IT domains and various business units in achieving strategic outcomes through delivering projects based on Group IT Project Delivery Methodology.

This role is responsible for leading a cross functional and matrix team within the IT and business domains to deliver projects on time and on budget meeting the business objectives The Senior IT Project Manager will have to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity at any point in time.

Make An Impact By:

  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

  • Partner closely with business and IT stakeholders to achieve strategic project outcomes

  • Build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including executives and C-level leaders

  • Lead cross-functional teams across business, IT, engineering, and vendor partners (including offshore teams)

  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, quality, and financials

  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting (including Capex governance)

  • Oversee procurement processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor performance

  • Resolve escalations and manage complex project challenges effectively

  • Ensure adherence to Singtel project management frameworks and governance standards

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree with recognised Project Management certification (or equivalent experience)

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Management is a plus

  • 8–10 years of experience in delivering complex IT application projects in a matrix environment

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity

  • Strong experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation

  • Experience managing large project budgets (Capex > $2M)

  • Telecommunications industry experience is an advantage

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

  • Familiarity with solution architecture and design concepts

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) and MS Project

  • Experience supporting Agile project delivery environments

  • Exposure to vendor and end-user environments

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work effectively across different cultures and backgrounds
