The Role
We’restrengthening how change is delivered across the organisation by building a coherent,well‑governedstrategic tooling landscape and best practice framework.
We’relooking for a Senior Project Managerto support the SMEs in Change Excellence with the delivery of our colleague continuous improvement agenda. This role sits within our newly established Change Excellence Team, which exists to raise the bar on how change is planned,governedand delivered across M&G.
Your role will focus on taking a defined strategic direction and turning it into reality, managing scope, dependencies,risksand delivery across multiple workstreams. You will ensure that tooling investments are implemented effectively, embedded well, and deliver tangible improvements for teams delivering change.
Key Responsibilities for this Role
Identifyand compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Helps the team to decide the best approach
Leading the delivery of theend‑to‑enddelivery of the colleague continuous improvement agenda.
Translatinghigh‑levelstrategy into clear plans, milestones,deliverablesand governance
Managing delivery across multiple workstreams spanning business and technology teams
Actively managing dependencies, risks,issuesandtrade‑offsacross the programme
Ensuring deliveryremainson track, within agreed scope,costand timelines
Partnering with senior stakeholders to align priorities, escalate issues and supportdecision‑making
Establishing andmaintainingeffective programme governance,reportingand controls
Tracking benefits and outcomes to ensure tooling delivers measurable value
Working closely with Change Excellence colleagues to embed consistent standards, ways of working and tooling capabilities via effective changemanagement
Identifyingopportunities to simplify processes and improve how change is planned,governedand reported

Senior delivery leadershipthrough proven experience managing large, complex initiatives that span business and technology
Structured delivery approachwith a strong grounding in project and programme management disciplines, with experience across Agile, hybrid and waterfall environments
Hands‑on involvement in delivering enterprise tooling initiatives (e.g. portfolio management, planning or transformation platforms)
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, managing expectations and navigating competing priorities
Risk & dependency managementthrough a strong capability inidentifyingissues early and driving resolution
Outcome‑focused mindsetand clear on how to define success, measure progress and ensure benefits are realised
Clear communicatorand able to provide concise, meaningful updates and translate complexity into practical actions
