Our client, a leading Steel Contractor, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in New Ross, with a strong focus on design management, pre-construction and programme delivery. This role will suit an experienced professional from a structural steel background who can manage projects from concept through to site erection. The successful candidate will bring technical strength, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate across design, fabrication and site teams.
Responsibilities
• Manage structural steel projects from concept through to fabrication and site erection
• Coordinate design, programme and delivery across internal and external teams
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models (Tekla, AutoCAD)
• Monitor design progress and ensure alignment with project schedules
• Liaise between fabrication workshops and site erection teams
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor packages
• Manage valuations, payments and commercial reporting
• Identify and mitigate commercial and programme risks
• Ensure compliance with structural steel standards, codes and specifications
Requirements
• Proven experience delivering structural steel projects with a contractor or fabricator
• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Structural Engineering or similar
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes
• Experience with MS Office, MS Project and Trimble Connect or similar
• Ability to manage programme, cost and design coordination effectively
• Strong communication skills across design, commercial and site teams
