One of our clients in South Plainfield, New Jersey, needs a Senior Project Manager for a contract role.

• Position: Senior Project Manager
• Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey
• Position Type: Contract
• Travel: Onsite

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration or another related field required with 10+ years of project management experience
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, contracts)
• PMP certification required
• Experience leading diverse teams of technical disciplines and support
• Experience supporting system upgrades, migrations, or platform modernization efforts
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across a diverse stakeholder group
• Ability to perform stakeholder management
• Risk and issue management
• Technical project coordination
• Vendor management skills
• Quality assurance and governance
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast paced and complex environment
• Strong skills using Microsoft product tools and PPM tools
• Excellent customer-facing skills
• Excellent decision-making and organizational skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Must be local to NJ and ability to come to the office - main reporting location to be South Plainfield, NJ
• Utility background (electric, gas or combined)
