The Senior Project Manager for Process Governance and Tools plays a critical role in advancing Flowserve’s Engineered Pumps project performance through data analytics, MS Project scheduling insights, and development of reporting and workflow tools. With a primary focus on enabling data‑driven decision‑making rather than traditional PM oversight, this Houston or Irving‑based role drives process discipline, ensures tool adoption, and elevates execution maturity across Flowserve’s Pumps division.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation, and governance of standardized project management processes, with a strong emphasis on data‑driven insights, reporting accuracy, and process adherence.
• Build, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and automated workflows that elevate project visibility, compliance, and decision‑making.
• Develop and manage MS Project schedules, converting schedule data into actionable governance insights and reporting tools.
• Define and implement project management tools that enhance financial performance, on‑time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain governance mechanisms to ensure projects meet timelines, targets, and defined operating parameters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and deployment of project management maturity assessments at Flowserve sites.
• Collaborate with functional managers to optimize project personnel utilization, work allocation, and training needs.
• Facilitate or attend meetings with platform leaders and stakeholders to address process deviations and drive improvements.
• Provide both strategic and tactical support to project teams, ensuring communication clarity, schedule monitoring, and disciplined workflow adoption.
• Assist in developing and delivering training for process governance tools, reporting tools, and workflow systems.
• Serve as an advocate for strong project management practices across the Engineered Pumps organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or manufacturing
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
• Strong data analytics capability with a proven ability to convert complex project and process data into dashboards and meaningful insights
• High proficiency in MS Project, including schedule creation, analysis, and reporting
• Proficiency with Power BI and automated workflow software
• Experience working in a matrixed environment
• Experience with process improvement or procedure development
• Experience working directly with external customers
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including possible international travel
• Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently with a self‑starter mindset
Preferred:
• PMP or similar project management certification
• Additional language proficiency (Spanish, French, German, Italian)
