Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager based in Poznań, Poland, to join our Project Execution team This role supports international CAPEX investment projects as well as highly complex R&D projects and requires travel to our global production sites approximately 60–80 days per year

Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?

In an ever-changing, fast paced world, we owe it to ourselves and our future generations to live life responsibly. At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.

Join us and make a difference!

Your future team:

You will become part of our Project Execution team, working alongside experienced Project Managers and Specialists in safety, planning, and project support. The team focuses on delivering some of ROCKWOOL’s largest and most complex international CAPEX projects, typically ranging from €15M to €300M, with project durations of 3–5 years. Our work supports capacity expansion, environmental upgrades, operational safety improvements, digitalization of operations, and new production technologies.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, operating companies, and global stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation. Knowledge sharing, strong teamwork, and continuous improvement are central to how we work.

We are looking for Senior Project Managers to join us across two portfolios: 1) new wool production lines and our conversion programme, and 2) new systems production and intralogistics projects. You will be positioned in the portfolio that best matches your experience - whether your strength is large-scale industrial line build/upgrade delivery or complex systems and logistics implementation in live operations. Based on your profile and aspirations, we will jointly agree the right project match and onboarding path.

What you will be doing:

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large international engineering and construction projects from early concept through execution and delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading delivery of international CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning and operational handover
  • Managing cross-functional project teams across engineering, IT/OT, operations, supply chain and suppliers
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget
  • Managing stakeholders, governance, and reporting to steering committees
  • Leading risk, interface and dependency management across engineering, operations, EHS, finance and suppliers
  • Ensuring operational readiness: training, documentation, spare parts, maintenance strategy, and hypercare plan
  • Capturing and implementing lessons learned; contributing to standard ways of working across the CAPEX portfolio

What you bring:

You are a structured and results-oriented project leader who thrives in a complex international environment and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.

We imagine that you bring:

  • A technical degree, preferably in engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience managing large engineering, intralogistics or construction projects, ideally in an international environment with strong project controls
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to separate delivery leadership from technical ownership; drives decisions without owning design
  • Experience managing complex CAPEX investments and cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational levels and cultures
  • Strong financial understanding of project budgets, forecasting, and reporting

We know that you might not meet all the things on this list, but you might bring skills and experience that we haven’t even included here.

What we offer:

By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company. We offer you a competitive salary, permanent contract after the probation period, development package, team building events, activity-based office in Poznan’s city center in the new prestigious office building – Nowy Rynek. The building is recognized as a building without barriers, which means that it is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Our compensation package on employment contracts includes:

  • An office-first approach: home office is available up to 2 days per week
  • Adaptable Hours: start your workday anytime between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
  • Home office subsidy
  • Private Medical Care
  • Multikafeteria MyBenefit
  • Wellbeing program
  • Extra Day Off for voluntary activities

… and while in the office you can also use modern office space with beautiful view and high standard furniture, bicycle parking facilities & showers, chill-out rooms with PlayStation, football table, pool table, board games, subsidized canteen with delicious food & fruit.
