Job Description

Senior Project Manager - 12 Month Contract

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
  • National High School Senior Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Graduate or qualified by experience
  • Prince 2 Practitioner or PMBok
  • Experience in managing global or multi-site IT infrastructure rollouts
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid IT environments
Desirable:
  • Negotiation Skills Stakeholder management
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the end-to-end deployment of Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless solutions, across multiple locations
  • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met within budget and on schedule
  • Maintain and update Project Documentation, including:
    • Business Case
    • Project Management Plan
    • Project Charter
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth installations and integrations
  • Oversee risk management processes, proactively identifying and mitigating deployment challenges
  • Lead cross-functional teams to take preventative and corrective action on any program-related issues and escalate as required to ensure client requirements and due dates are met
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company security policies
  • Apply and assure end-to-end Project Methodology, ensuring high-quality results
  • Provide clear and timely communication to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and issues
  • Manage and track project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization
  • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to internal teams for post-deployment support
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance future rollouts
EXPERIENCE
  • 11 years of experience managing Cisco-based network deployment projects
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco products, including networking hardware and software solutions
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 equivalent certification (valid)
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and public sector
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
