Job Description

We are hiring for a Senor Project Manager to join our Group IT.

Purpose:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex strategic and tactical projects from start to finish. This will include working with key internal and external stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, lead and mentor teams, manage stakeholder communications and expectations, identify and mitigate risks, control budgets, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

This position will require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to drive project success and support the Blackmores strategic goals.

This role reports to the IT Director of Delivery & Business Engagement.

What will you do?

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Define project milestones and critical paths to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project activities with organizational goals.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication to manage expectations and gather feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and project objectives are achieved.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop risk management plans to mitigate their impact.
  • Monitor and assess risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and ensure project continuity.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Monitor project expenditures and control costs to stay within budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts to provide stakeholders with accurate budgetary information.

Quality & Governance Assurance:

  • Establish quality standards and ensure project deliverables meet these standards.
  • Ensure all governance checks and approvals are met at each stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Adherence to project change management governance for any changes to scope, schedule or cost. Ensuring appropriate approvals and updates to project artifacts as per the Project Management Framework.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records as per the standard templates.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant parties.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project management efforts.

Who are you?

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Work Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder projects, often in parallel.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage senior stakeholders, and communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience with project tools (Planview, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow) and strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and reporting.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and solutions‑focused, with strong decision‑making skills, attention to quality, and a continuous improvement mindset.
