About the Positions

We’re seeking Sr. Project Managers at various levels to support large, heavy-civil infrastructure projects in highways, roads, and bridges, transit (bus and rail), aviation (international airports), and water sectors delivered through both traditional and alternative methods. You will provide technical and managerial leadership and be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from planning through closeout, serving as the owner’s representative for scope, cost, schedule, and change management, and coordinating across multiple teams.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide project leadership through all stages of design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Oversee schedule, scope, budget, and risk management activities for multiple task orders simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with program and project controls staff to develop and track cost forecasts, schedules, and earned value metrics.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to keep projects aligned and on track.
  • Prepare and deliver clear reporting materials, including status updates, risk logs, and resource forecasts.
  • Support commissioning, operations readiness, and transition-to-maintenance planning.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, environmental requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project management for heavy-civil infrastructure projects in highways, roads, bridges, transit (bus and rail), aviation (international airports), or water sectors.
  • Proven experience coordinating a project management team and providing appropriate levels of support, coaching, and influence.
  • Proficiency with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Active professional certifications such as CCM (CMAA), PMP (PMI), or PE license.
  • Experience delivering projects through both traditional and alternative methods (e.g., DB, CM/GC, P3).
  • Prior experience managing airfield or aviation capital projects at a commercial service airport.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, Part 139 requirements, and airport operational environments.
  • Experience working within owner governance frameworks and capital delivery programs.
  • Experience managing projects involving environmental permitting, regulatory approvals, or due diligence activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.

Compensation Details

Expected Salary: $120k-$160k/year ($57-$76/hour). Luster provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidate’s level of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, geographic location, etc. Luster reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
