Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to play a critical role in delivering complex, cross-functional programmes at RoslinCT.
In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle of client and internal projects – from technology transfer and process/analytical development through to GMP manufacturing, release, and commercial readiness. Acting as a strategic partner to both clients and internal teams, you will ensure delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with business and commercial objectives.
This position may also include line management responsibilities and requires strong leadership communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing within a CDMO environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Partner with the Head of Projects to plan and deliver the RoslinCT project portfolio in line with business priorities.
· Lead end-to-end delivery of client programmes, including tech transfer, development activities, and GMP manufacturing.
· Utilise project management tools to track project progress, manage project scope, and provide regular updates.
· Apply project governance frameworks and provide clear reporting to stakeholders and steering committees.
· Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure successful project delivery.
· Lead cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, prioritisation, and effective decision-making.
· Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and supporting client interactions, including site visits.
· Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication across stakeholders, including Finance on key milestones.
· Drive continuous improvement of project processes, tools, and ways of working.
· Deputise for the Head of Projects as required and provide coaching, support, and line management for team members.
About you
· Significant project management experience (typically 10+ years), ideally within a pharmaceutical or GMP manufacturing environment.
· Proven ability to manage complex programmes and break them into manageable components.
· Experience in line management within a project management function.
· Competent in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheets) and Microsoft 365.
· Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Strong stakeholder and client management skills, with the ability to influence and manage expectations.
Qualifications
· A degree in a Life Science or equivalent qualification/experience.
· Recognised Project Management Qualification (e.g. AMP or equivalent) or relevant experience.
