Job Description

Req ID:514179

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time in Project Manager Craiova, Romania, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and operational expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside professional, dedicated, and collaborative teammates.

You'll manage and coordinate the execution of projects with no criticality, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and customer expectations while maximizing results in terms of cash flow and margin. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance), define project strategies, and ensure alignment among internal and external stakeholders, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of driving project governance and ensuring compliance with Alstom’s project management and execution processes, but also proactively manage risks, savings, and opportunities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Being accountable for project QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Planning) performance and optimizing project financial performance (Margin & Cash)
  • Owning the Project Management Work Package (WP) and being QCDP accountable for all its activities
  • Defining project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to sub-systems
  • Ensuring proper transfer from tender to project
  • Defining project objectives and main drivers to achieve customer satisfaction within the contract framework
  • Planning and aligning project core team staffing and resources
  • Escalating when project resources do not match project needs
  • Engaging project teams to achieve objectives and fostering strong team relationships
  • Synchronizing internal partners and arbitrating when necessary
  • Managing customer and external stakeholder relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, including Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, and Quality standards
  • Reporting project progress and KPIs to senior management with transparency

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience managing an operational scope
  • Experience working in and with multinational companies and navigating diverse business cultures
  • Knowledge of project management processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory)
  • An IPMA Level D (or equivalent) certification is desirable

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new safety and security standards for rail traffic management
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our dynamic, inclusive, and flexible working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs
  • Progress towards Safety Assurance Management or other exciting roles and teams
  • Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
