The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Technology team at AIA on a 12 month basis in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will lead large and/or multiple business projects to manage and deliver specified outcomes, lead internal and external teams onsite and offshore to execute to project lifecycle standards.
To do this successfully you will:
Managing and delivering large scale tactical and strategic projects that span one or multiple lines of business to enable AIA Australia to deliver its business plan
Develop detailed business cases from feasibility, design through to implementation and closure
Develop detailed financial budgeting incorporating resource planning from project plans
Design and develop strategies & processes, in consultation with, stakeholders, team members and business consultants, to support implementation of project
Strong enterprise stakeholder management, ensuring appropriate collaboration, communication and change champion engagement for successful delivery and implementation of project
Plan and manage internal and external project resources to ensure delivery of project outcomes to time
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Lead and manage distributed delivery execution team onsite and offshore
Present status updates, Business Cases, funding/resource requests and required governance artefacts to the relevant committees as required
Successful applications will demonstrate:
Experience working as Senior Project Manager ideally in insurance or financial services
Ability to lead and inspire people to deliver exceptional outcomes and to drive a performance culture
Proven experience working with Executive & Senior Management on developing and implementing strategic initiatives
Previous experience in contract/vendor negotiations and management
Able to apply any of multiple delivery disciplines that is best suited to execution strategy of project or program (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
