Your role

Join our team as a Senior Project Manager with the Southern Ontario team.

In this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. The leader must have experience delivering programs of work or large capital projects for clients, with an impressive portfolio of civil infrastructure experience. The ideal applicant has led projects from beginning to end - preliminary planning, programming, schematic and detailed design, construction and occupancy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong client relationships and lead projects from beginning to end, to achieve our client’s goals and objectives;
  • Lead program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, consultant tendering and selection, and contract administration efforts;
  • Regularly report to the client on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports;
  • Manage and coach project staff allocated to your projects, peer reviewing their deliverables and continuously developing their knowledge and capabilities;
  • Chair client, project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents;
  • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues;
  • Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, delivering civil infrastructure (e.g. water, roads, bridges, ports, transit) projects.
  • Recent experience delivering projects in the civil infrastructure sector, advising and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders (permitting jurisdictions, project funders);
  • A university degree or diploma civil engineering or related discipline (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience);
  • Keen understanding of the civil infrastructure landscape in Canada;
  • Depth of knowledge in program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, project delivery methodologies, and contract administration;
  • Experience with the preparation of Requests for Proposals, Tenders and Tender closing/award procedures, and preparation of response to Requests for Proposals;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications;
  • P.Eng. and PMP designations considered an asset.

Expected Compensation: $97,920 – $134,640 per year (CAD)

This compensation range represents our good-faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
