Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within a banking and financial services environment. This role requires a highly hands-on, delivery-focused project manager who is comfortable operating in fast-paced, regulated settings while partnering closely with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving execution, managing risk, and ensuring delivery of strategic business initiatives.
Hourly Rate $80-92 Contract: 1 year (potential to extend)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex business initiatives across business and technology teams.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Drive day-to-day execution, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Facilitate governance forums, status reporting, and executive communications.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, and drive resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across product, technology, operations, risk, and compliance partners.
  • Manage demanding stakeholders and senior leadership expectations with confidence and clarity.
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise project management standards and best practices.
  • Support change management, communication, and implementation readiness activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–7+ years of hands-on project management experience within banking or financial services.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.
  • Comfortable operating “in the weeds” while maintaining a strategic delivery view.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
  • PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and delivery-driven.
