HVDC(HighVoltage Direct Current)is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufacture and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

How you'll make an impact

  • In this role youare responsible forproactivelyidentify,manage, and control interfaces inour complex projectenvironment

  • Youuse interfacemanagementin a structured way to facilitatecross functional, cross project andcross organization collaborationbetween internal and external project stakeholders.

  • Leadingproject engineering team,or teams ,in anoptimalway together with Project Engineering Manager and Technical Project Lead Engineer.

  • You enable continuous andeffectiveflow of information and communication across the project's internal as well as external interfacesand hence proactively avoid misunderstandings

  • You workprimarilywithtechnicalinterfacesto supportour core business of Engineering.

  • Inprojects, you report to a PEM (Project Engineering Manager)and/or a Project Director (PD),and since this is a senior roleyou belong, contribute andhelpdevelopa department with Project Interface Managers (PIM).

Your background  

  • Youvaluetransparency andselfmotivation,andyou contributeand sharea broad experienceinfailure, success,and learnings.

  • Youare team player thatcontinuouslydemonstratesa clear commitment and solution mindset.

  • You havevastexperience of workingwith interfacemanagementin largetechnicallycomplex projects.

  • You are confident inyourself,yourown abilities including yourleadershipqualities,andyouprioritizecreatinglong-term relationships, both internally within your project, within HVDC as an organization and with other external stakeholders.

  • As we work in a global organization, you need good knowledge of English. Other languages used within the group are meritorious.

  • We would like you to have a relevant university degree and at least10yearsof experience in projectand/ or interfacemanagement.

  • If you have experience with HVDC and PMI/PMPor other project managementcertifications, it is advantageous.
