Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Senior Project Finance & Investments Analyst in Bucharest, Romania to join our global team. In this role, you will support the financial backbone of renewable energy projects, from inception to financial close, and contribute to building a sustainable future. As a Senior Project Finance & Investments Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the financial success of renewable energy projects across multiple regions. Your role spans financial evaluation, risk assessment, and supporting financing processes from early-stage development to financial close. You will also provide modelling and financing support for projects under construction and operating assets, helping to build a robust regional pipeline.

Main responsibilities

  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and optimize financial models, perform cash flow analysis, and evaluate project scenarios.
  • Structuring & Due Diligence: Prepare project finance inputs for presentations, support commercial negotiations, and coordinate advisor workstreams.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Collect and prepare project information for lenders, apply external advisor input, and assist in lender negotiations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development, Energy Portfolio Management, and global Project Finance teams to ensure accurate financial integration

Qualifications and competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Project/Asset/Corporate Finance, M&A, or investments.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English and Romanian; experience in international contexts is a plus.
  • Previous exposure to power projects is advantageous but not required.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys handling diverse tasks.
  • A critical thinker with excellent quantitative and negotiation capabilities.
