Grow where you matter most
At Origin, being All Kinds of Useful starts with people like you, the ones showing up every day to make a difference for our customers. As we expand the way that we serve Australians – including providing internet, new products, and more to come – your next challenge could be closer than you think right here at Origin.
About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Solutions and Assurance Manager, this role is responsible for delivering capital and brownfield engineering projects across Origin’s national LPG terminal network as well as large complex customer installations. With 46 terminals across the country, the team manages a diverse portfolio of infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations and asset life-extension works that support the safe and reliable operation of our sites.
Projects vary significantly in scale — from $20k site improvements through to ~$2M capital works — and include initiatives such as tank internal works, flow meter installations, control system upgrades, other terminal infrastructure improvements and large complex customer site installations.
This role manages projects through the full lifecycle including scope development, contractor engagement, tendering, delivery and close-out. While the role is primarily focused on project engineering delivery, it will also work closely with terminal managers, operations teams and Sales managers nationally.
In this role you will:
Travel to terminals and customer sites across Australia will be required periodically depending on project locations (typically several weeks per year).
About You
You are a practical and delivery-focused engineer who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion. You are comfortable working in operational environments and collaborating closely with site teams, contractors and technical specialists to deliver safe and effective engineering outcomes.
Rather than focusing purely on design, you bring strength in project execution — managing scopes, coordinating contractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
You may already have experience guiding other engineers or be looking toward a near-term pathway into people leadership, where you can support and develop project engineers as the function continues to evolve.
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience in energy, oil & gas, industrial infrastructure or heavy asset environments will be highly regarded.
