About the Project:

Waterfront Brisbane is one of Australia's most significant city-shaping developments, delivering a world-class riverfront precinct in the heart of Brisbane CBD. John Holland is proudly delivering Stage One of the $2.5 billion project, comprising a 54-storey commercial tower, premium retail and hospitality offerings, public open spaces, and an enhanced riverwalk. The project presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark development that will redefine Brisbane's waterfront for generations to come

About The Role:

As Senior Project Engineer – Façade & Finishes, you will support the delivery of the façade and finishes packages on the landmark Waterfront Brisbane project. Working closely with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, you will coordinate the planning, engineering, quality and installation of façade works from design through to completion. The role involves managing shop drawings, technical submissions, mock-ups and programme activities, while ensuring works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards, and in line with project milestones. You will have one direct report and will provide on-site engineering assistance, manage key project interfaces, and contribute to the successful delivery of one of Queensland’s most significant high-rise developments.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the planning, sequencing and methodology development for tower façade and finishes works.
  • Coordinate façade and finishes design, shop drawing and technical submission reviews.
  • Manage façade mock-ups, prototypes, samples and quality approvals.
  • Provide engineering support and technical leadership for façade installation works.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Support programme development and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and project requirements throughout delivery.
  • Drive constructability, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best-for-project outcomes.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Significant experience in construction estimating, cost planning, tendering, and project delivery on Façade and Finishes building projects
  • Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills, with the ability to develop accurate estimates and forecasts.
  • Advanced proficiency in estimating software and cost management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing estimates across multiple construction disciplines.
  • A sound understanding of safety, environmental, quality, and project risk management principles.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
