About the Role
The Solutions Senior Project Engineer is responsible for executing engineering and design tasks for customer-specific solutions within the Solution Business Center Asia Pacific (SBC APAC). This role ensures that engineered systems meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality expectations. Acting as a technical liaison between customers, internal teams, and external partners, the Solutions Sr. Project Engineer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, customized automation solutions from design through commissioning.
This role will be based in Singapore, is part of the Solution Business Center ( SBC APAC ) and reports to the Engineering Manager.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
Project Objectives & Delivery
• Deliver projects within defined timeframes and budget.
• Ensure project scope and quality meet customer and internal expectations.
Customer & Stakeholder Liaison
• Engage directly with customer technical teams to align requirements, resolve issues, and co-develop optimal solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across SBC, other entities, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Validate customer requirements for order processing.
Project Management & Execution
• Execute engineering and design activities in accordance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality guidelines.
• Manage quality assurance processes including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer approvals.
• Oversee and support on-site activities such as system installation, construction supervision, and commissioning.
• Provide regular project updates to the Project / Engineering Manager.
Documentation & Data Management
• Maintain and manage all project-related documentation.
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor project team members as needed.
Customer Satisfaction & Communication
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through clear and proactive communication.
• Liaise with customers and management on production capabilities, schedules, inspections, and issue resolution.
Additional Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as required to support the company’s business strategy.
Key Competencies
• Strong technical expertise in process automation, instrumentation, or systems engineering.
• Ability to interpret and apply customer specifications and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for effective collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in quality control processes, including FAT/SAT.
• Willingness to travel for on-site supervision and commissioning.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project engineering or solution delivery, particularly in custody transfer or fiscal metering systems within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven track record in project management and familiarity with project management tools.
• Solid understanding of instrumentation and relevant industry standards, codes, and procedures.
Working hours:
Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm
