About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering structures packages on the Tonkin Highway Extension in Byford. You will take ownership of key project elements, overseeing quality assurance, procurement, subcontractor management and project delivery outcomes. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will provide high-level technical expertise, drive performance, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget targets are achieved.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors to maintain productivity and project momentum.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and overcome technical and operational challenges to keep works moving forward.
  • Drive compliance with project specifications, company systems, and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to planning, commercial management, and reporting to support overall project success.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering structures packages on civil infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to manage project delivery in line with safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements
  • Commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value-for-money outcomes
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
