Are you an experienced Project Engineer ready to take ownership of complex telecommunications projects from construction through to completion?

Service Stream is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Telecommunications team. Reporting to the National Build Manager, you will play a key role in delivering network infrastructure projects, leading project execution, supporting project teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the build phase of telecommunications projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining strong commercial, safety, and quality performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading construction and delivery activities across multiple projects.
  • Managing project schedules, risks, budgets, and scope changes.
  • Supporting and mentoring Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
  • Overseeing site establishment, construction activities, and project reporting.
  • Coordinating design interfaces and ensuring constructability requirements are met.
  • Managing project cost control, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and contractual obligations.

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused engineering professional with experience delivering telecommunications, infrastructure, or construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing project delivery from planning through construction and handover.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget and cost management.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to identify risks, solve problems, and drive project outcomes.
