About the Role

Peabody is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of capital and operational improvement projects across our mining operations. This is a high-impact role that combines technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and project leadership to deliver outcomes that enhance safety, productivity, reliability and long term business performance.

Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will take ownership of project planning, execution and delivery while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget. This role provides an opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, solve complex challenges and contribute to the ongoing success of a world class mining operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of mining and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and performance outcomes.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks while driving safe work practices.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across project lifecycles.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and company processes.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts and business case documentation.

About You

You are an experienced engineering professional with a passion for delivering complex projects and building strong stakeholder relationships. You thrive on solving problems, leading multidisciplinary teams and achieving outcomes that create lasting value for the business.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering capital, operational or infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management, planning and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors and project risks.
• Strong commercial, technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
