Responsibilities

• Management
  • Responsible to review the correctness and accuracy Weekly Project Reports, Monthly Project Report, PSOH Report and project update produced by Project Engineer & Planner. Project Engineers shall familiarize themselves to commercial reports and updates.
  • Monitor overall approved project execution plan to ensure work is done in compliance to Company and Clients requirements. Senior Project Engineer shall identify any non-conformance and variation from the agreed or approved method or sequence of installation.
  • Execute overall project work scoping based on scope of work and drawings provided by Clients. Develop general technical specifications and prepare general scope of work to be tendered out. Liaise with the Field Engineer and Construction Engineer for specific scope of work required for the work such as grouting, hammer etc
  • Responsible in identifying all Change Order (CO) works during the execution of the project. These CO need to be compiled, substantiated and submitted to Clients for approval according to the approved process. Project Engineer must liaise with Contract Engineer to strategize and finalize the Change Order proposal.
  • Lead/Chair the project key meetings either internal within PMT or external with Clients and Subcontractor required in the project. Senior Project Engineer is also responsible that all issues raised during the meetings are addressed and closeout.
  • Ensure all project risks in term of Safety, Operation, and Contract etc are evaluated and compiled. Project Engineers must liaise with Risk Engineer and other disciplines within PMT to compile, evaluate and mitigation to the risks.
  • Practice effective communications with the Clients and all departments within the Company in order to have smooth project execution.
  • Review and provide support to Contract Manager in drafting official letter to Client.
  • Focal person in preparing any presentation deck, as and when required, for any ad hoc internal and external meeting.
• Resource Management
  • Assist Project Manager in setting Project Management Team (PMT) consisting of personnel from multi disciplines to execute the project.
  • Perform evaluations of the performance of Subcontractors engaged in the project. The results will be used as guideline for future Subcontract awards.
• Billing and Invoicing
  • Responsible to review invoice from vendor and to clients.
  • Follow up with SCA team in finalizing vendors statement of final account (SOFA)
• HSE
  • Execute the works in compliance to Clients and Company approved policies and Project HSE plan.
  • Responsible in ensuring all planned works are safe or within the acceptable risks. Construction Risk Assessment (CRA) and Hazard Identification (HAZID) shall be conducted prior to work execution.
• Senior Project Engineer is responsible to execute technical and commercial key tasks and elements in project management and other instructions received from Supervisor during the course of project execution.
• Senior Project Engineer is responsible to review and verify that the works done by Project Engineer are correct and accurate

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical); from recognized Higher Learning Institution.
• Registered with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum of ten (15) years working experience as Project Engineer, preferably in the EPCIC, EPC, T&I, Project.
• Well versed in Development, review, analysis and forecasting of schedule and resources at Bid and during Project Execution
• Skills required: Progress Reporting; Change Management; Project Contract Requirements; and PMCOM Requirements
