Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 + Performance-Based Incentives

This is a high-impact Project / Senior Engineer role designed for professionals who want to move beyond traditional design engineering and into a client-facing, technically diverse consulting environment You will play a critical role in evaluating real-world structures, advising clients on risk and performance, and leading engineering-driven decision-making across a wide variety of building types.
As a Project / Senior Engineer, you will lead and execute consulting engineering projects focused on building inspections, forensic evaluations, due diligence, and construction consulting This role blends technical expertise, fieldwork, and client interaction, offering a dynamic career path with strong growth potential.
You will work directly with leadership and clients to plan, execute, and deliver high-quality engineering assessments, while also contributing to project strategy, reporting, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Client Leadership
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and high service delivery
Develop project scopes, objectives, and execution strategies in collaboration with leadership
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
Support business development efforts through technical expertise and client interaction
Technical Engineering & Consulting
Perform field inspections on a wide range of structures including:
Commercial and residential buildings
High-rise and low-rise structures
New construction and existing facilities
Conduct forensic investigations, condition assessments, and due diligence reports
Evaluate construction documents, materials, and system performance
Provide technical recommendations related to building systems, failures, and improvements
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare detailed, high-quality engineering reports and assessments
Review and validate inspection findings to ensure accuracy and clarity
Deliver client-ready documentation with actionable insights and recommendations
Senior-Level (Leadership Responsibilities)
Act as a Technical Lead on complex projects
Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
Provide oversight on engineering standards, methodologies, and deliverables
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Civil Engineering
Structural Engineering
Architectural Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Construction Engineering Technology
Experience
Project Engineer Level: 3–7 years of relevant experience
Senior Engineer Level: 7+ years of experience with leadership exposure
Prior experience in consulting engineering, inspections, or building envelope/structural analysis preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
OSHA 10 (or equivalent) required
Strong familiarity with building codes and industry standards (ASTM, AAMA, commissioning standards)
Core Competencies
Strong ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication for client interaction
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in both office and field environments
Proficiency with:
Microsoft Office Suite
Engineering/reporting software platforms
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Combination of office, remote, and field-based work
Field work may include:
Climbing ladders, crawling, and accessing tight or elevated spaces
Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
Exposure to outdoor elements and active construction environments
