We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Regional Major Works Delivery team. This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional project management services, on-site coordination, and interface management of rail infrastructure construction projects, ensuring compliance with Queensland Rail's Management Systems in the areas of safety, environment, quality, and cost.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane CBD and comes with a generous remuneration package, travel allowance, and overtime.

Intrastate and interstate travel, as well as onsite work, is required for this role.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Extensive experience, at a Senior Project Engineer level, delivering rail track and civil projects
  • Experience developing, monitoring, controlling, and forecasting budgets with defined cost and time limitations
  • High level of skill in planning, organising, and programming the needs of major work while minimising operational impact
  • Sound knowledge of railway infrastructure, technical standards, and requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and environment
  • Personal commitment to health and safety

Pre-employment qualifications: A Bachelor of Engineering - Civil is required. An offer cannot be extended without providing a JP Certified, colour copy of your degree.
