THE JOB: Senior Project Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $63,600 - $79,500

The Senior Project Coordinator supports the advancement of Shared Care Committee work plan priorities as delegated by the Senior Manager, Shared Care & Strategic Initiatives. The Senior Project Coordinator will provide project management and coordination support to advance assigned portfolios and will be responsible for developing and maintaining project management systems tracking key milestones, activities and progress; developing, maintaining, and monitoring budget trackers; developing communication materials such as portfolio documents, briefing notes, presentations, and agenda packages; contributing to monthly and quarterly reports outlining the progress of the portfolio; and supporting activities to advance the portfolio such as steering committees, working groups, partner engagement, and strategic planning processes.

Starting with Cancer and Mental Health Substance Use the Senior Project Coordinator will be part of a collaborative team and will advance the following deliverables:

Cancer:

• Coordinate the planning and execution of the remaining two Cancer Call for Proposals Learning Series
• Coordinate the planning and execution of the 2027 Project Showcase
• Coordinate and implement communication activities such as drafting articles contributing to the BC Cancer Medical Dental Staff Association newsletters
• In collaboration with the Senior Manager and Liaison, develop and implement deliverables to advance the portfolio

Mental Health Substance Use:

• Coordinate the planning, tracking, and reporting of engagement activities
• In collaboration with the Senior Manager and Liaison, develop and implement deliverables to advance the portfolio

• Identifies potential consequences and risk levels. Seeks support and buy-in for problem definition, methods of resolution, and accountability.

Thoroughness (A):

• Identifies potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards.
• Reviews department’s progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project
• Supports others in achieving deliverables by efficiently allocating resources and providing common organizing systems, techniques, and disciplines.
• Maintains a proactive work review and approval process prior to assignment completion.
• Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement.

WHAT YOU BRING

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of progressive and related experience or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
• Experience in project management and adept at balancing significant concurrent priorities, with a high attention to detail, risk management, and effective time management.
• Budget development and management skills.
• Ability to work synergistically in a collaborative team environment and coordinate tasks and priorities with other team members.
• Experience working in the BC health care system or general knowledge of the BC health care system is preferred.
• Ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and determine optimal solutions.
• Excellent diplomacy, communication and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with highly trained professionals and diverse partners.
• Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, challenging, and ambiguous environments.
• Excellent research and writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and as a member of the team.
• Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
