About the role
This role will be responsible for working with the project leadership team for the running of all project systems, reporting, planning and scheduling frameworks to ensure timely management of project deadlines by the business implementation team.
The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the project meets all the requirements and is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client.
Key responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members (direct & indirect).
Track Project progress and monthly payment claims; tracking changes to drawings, site notices, variations etc. and resubmitted claims; Identifying poor schedule quality and potential schedule risks
Assist with the Project Managers/ Construction Team in the scheduling, tracking progress, updating progress within the Project Schedule to meet contractual requirements.
Working with the planning team on analysing the development and maintenance of project s-curves and resource curves
Undertake detailed forensic planning and delay analysis to determine opportunities for commercial advantage or protection
Protect the project’s position with respect to time (this is a key part of the role and requires a level of assertiveness in dealing with our JV partners)
Determine appropriate claim techniques for any claims through thorough forensic/delay analysis
Carry out schedule quality checks & simulated Schedules to determine opportunities/risks for future claims
Assist with the management of site scheduling information and records in the format and order required by the client.
Maintain work schedules that maximize planned activities and deliver on-time completion of the activities.
Manage planning resources (both internally and externally) to ensure project & tender requirements are met
Develop, monitor, forecast, and report on; project budgets, estimates to complete, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, projects cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts, and change management
About You
Experience in multi-discipline self-perform M&E infrastructure projects
Must possess a qualification relevant to the position and be experienced in the management of planning, cost, risk and project controls on major infrastructure / construction projects;
At least 10 years’ project controls management experience on major construction projects;
Have recent relevant experience in effectively reporting and communicating at a senior level with clients on major construction projects
