The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Project Controller to join a leading infrastructure consultancy, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major projects and programs.

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end project controls across complex infrastructure projects, partnering closely with project leaders and senior stakeholders to drive performance, manage risk, and have a strong awareness of project financials. You will lead best practice across planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring robust governance and informed decision-making at both project and portfolio level.

Key Responsibilities

Drawing on your experience across major infrastructure projects, you will:

  • Lead the development and management of integrated project controls frameworks, including planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and forecasting
  • Partner with project leaders to provide strategic insights on project performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Take ownership of project financials, including budget management, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Lead month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial objectives
  • Strengthen project governance, controls, and assurance processes across programs
  • Mentor and support junior project controls professionals, contributing to capability uplift within the team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing systems, tools, and project delivery methodologies

About You

You are a highly experienced Project Controls professional with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects and influencing senior stakeholders.

You will bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, and cost management within major infrastructure environments
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence project outcomes at a strategic level
  • Proven experience working alongside senior project leadership on large-scale, complex projects or programs
  • Capability in tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Strong knowledge of project controls methodologies, including earned value management
  • Experience with project management systems and financial reporting frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Relevant qualifications and/or certifications (e.g. PMP, PMI, or equivalent) highly regarded
