Could you be the full-time Senior Project Contract Manager that we’re looking for located in our Bucharest, Romania operations?

Your future role

Reporting to the Cluster Country Contract Manager of South CEE, you will work closely with the Project Managers as key members of the project team. As the Senior Project Contract Manager for Metrorex projects, you will be accountable for leading the development, implementation and driving proactive contract management and risk mitigation strategies, in alignment with Alstom’s business objectives. This includes managing extensions of time (EOTs), variation orders, and contract amendments. As a contract and claims management expert, you will ensure meticulous record-keeping and robust file preparation for the project.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Applying the contract, claims and insurance management manual and Alstom governance.
  • Collaborating with the core project team to prepare/update the Contract Management Strategy Plan.
  • Analyzing the contract to build and drive the implementation of the contract and claims management strategy plan and continuously updating it on an ongoing basis with the project team.
  • Monitoring progress to ensure compliance with contract obligations, including tracking the project schedules to meet contractual milestones.
  • Issuing contractual notices to customer and partners in a timely manner.
  • Establishing and implementing project-specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation.
  • Monitoring and managing correspondence by analysing incoming and outgoing communications with customer and partners.
  • Developing and producing project-specific processes and methods for contract/claim management.

All about you

  • Degree in Law, Engineering, Business or Finance.
  • 10 years experience in contract and claims management in the delivery of railway, infrastructure or construction projects.
  • On hands experience with working with Public Procurement contracts in Romania and good knowledge of Public Procurement Law
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Romanian and English required.
  • Ability to anticipate and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems.
  • Capability to be operationally effective and accountable.
