Generally responsible for developing bid packages, submitting Request for Quote (RFQ), evaluating commercial proposals, and awarding purchase orders. Responsibilities could also include expediting of vendor data and equipment in support of various projects. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Familiarity with and utilization of department
Familiarity with the execution of heavy industrial projects including chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing.
Interpreting project scopes, statements of work and project
Developing procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various projects.
Mentoring less experienced Procurement Teammates
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Experience: This requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience in Supply Chain Management specifically in Project Procurement
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and application of company
Ability to organize effectively and execute
Complete understanding of contract language and commercial terms and conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
